With diabetes becoming a more prevalent condition in healthcare, and being scrutinized by payers, it is important to ensure proper ICD-10-CM code assignment. This webinar will be a deep dive into ICD-10-CM code assignment for diabetes and manifestations. We will focus on the clinical definition of the different types of diabetes (Type I, Type II, Secondary diabetes, Gestational, Diabetes 1.5), nomenclature classification, Coding Clinic guidance, capturing medication use, new guidelines for FY 2026, documentation requirements, and more. We will also look at Risk Adjustment focusing on V28 and the new revised HCC for diabetes.
